A talk on SOLAR ECLIPSE 05/12/19

ANNULAR SOLAR ECLIPSE
DEC 26 2019
A special talk of Dr. Rajeev was organised by Dr Neena Thomas , a faculty of MTTC on the annular solar eclipse. It was a very informative class. The annular solar eclipse will be completely observed in kasaragod, kannur, kozhikode and wayanad. All the other regions of Kerala will be witnessing a partial solar eclipse on dec 26. Kerala seemes to one of the three places in the whole world to witness the annular eclipse in its totality.
Certain precautions  should be taken while watching the eclipse in live . Donot watch the eclipse in naked eye. Use filter glasses or pin hole cameras to see the eclipse.
The eclipse will be starting @8.04 am on dec 26 and by 9.25am it reaches to its totality and by 11.00 am it starts to disappear.
So waiting for the day to come. DON'T MISS IT.

With the faculty member who came to take class about the importance of dec 26 2019.

A special awareness class for the same will be held by Physical Science optional students. Sophymol will be taking the class on annular eclipse  for MTTC teacher students on 12/12/2019.

Today's class was my last one for closing up teaching practice for the course. The topic which took was CHEMICAL BONDING.  All the feedback got from the students part as well as peer were all positive. I was happy to here that the concept was pretty much clear for each one of them present there. Thank yo Neena miss for giving me the opportunity for taking am individual class.                                                A small sequence from my demonstration class

This topic seemed to be very familiar - PLASTICS. But students were not much aware about the different types of plastics. So I have used the daily life examples to relate the difference between the types of the plastics so that it made them more clear about the two types plastics.

COGNITIVE MAPS

A  cognitive map  (sometimes called, but should not be confused with, a  mental map  or  mental model ) is a type of  mental representation  which serves an individual to acquire, code, store, recall, and decode information about the relative locations and attributes of phenomena in their everyday or metaphorical spatial environment. The concept was introduced by  Edward Tolman  in 1948.The term was generalized by some researchers, especially in the field of  operations research , to refer to a kind of  semantic network  representing an individual's personal knowledge or  schemas . A  cognitive map  helps break down complex research questions, establish priorities for followup research, and add clarity to abstract concepts. In  cognitive mapping  sessions, users are asked to create a  map  of a process, concept, or problem. The  cognitive map  is a representation of users'  mental  models.
